Track on Artificial Intelligence for Educational Innovation (AIEI)

Call for Papers

Although Artificial Intelligence can generate controversy, the truth is that it can be used to produce significant changes in what constitutes educational quality and the improvement of the performance of teachers in their teaching tasks. Young scientists and researchers from scientific centers, students and graduates, and industrial partners are welcome to present research papers on educational innovation, where the application of Artificial Intelligence in Education can generate a great positive impact on students and teachers, through reimagining education and facing the challenges faced in this field.

Scope and Topics

Authors are invited to submit original and innovative papers that break new ground and present insightful results based on your experience in artificial intelligence to support educational innovation. AIEI 2023 has a broad scope, and specific topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Adaptive and intelligent multimedia and hypermedia systems
  • Collaborative learning tools and instruction design
  • Computer-supported collaborative learning
  • Educational data mining
  • Game-based learning environments
  • Intelligent courseware for computer-based training
  • Intelligent tutoring systems
  • Knowledge and skill acquisition
  • Learning analytics
  • Natural language interfaces for instructional systems
  • Student modelling and cognitive diagnosis
  • Virtual reality, augmented reality, flipped classrooms, and blended learning
Long Papers
Long Papers are limited to 13-16 pages, including all content and references, and must be in PDF formatted with the Springer publication format.
Short Papers
Short Papers are limited to 7-12 pages, including all content and references, and must be in PDF formatted with the Springer publication format.

Paper Submission Guidelines

  • All research submissions must be in English.
  • Submissions must be in PDF, formatted with the Springer Publications format. For details on the Springer style, see here.
  • Please, note that submission is double-blind. Therefore, authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not reveal their identity. Follow this instruction to avoid an automatic rejection of the submission.
  • Papers accepted for publication: the camera-ready version of your paper must be submitted only using Latex format. This is to ensure proper insertion of the manuscript in proceedings. Failure to follow this instruction will result in disregard of submission.
